Lynne Wilkinson - Painter
Lynne studied painting and print making at University in Sheffield, gaining a BA Hons degree. She went on to take a PGCE, giving her the opportunity to teach at the Mappin and Graves Art Galleries and at local schools.
She exhibits widely at shows and galleries, and has won many competitions over the years.
Much of her inspiration is drawn from the local rolling hills, farms fields and flowers. Lynne paints with a passion for the subject, trying to capture a timeless image. She loves richly woven colours that lead the eye into the picture, leaving the spectator free to make his or her own interpretation.
Lynne still finds it magical that one or two brush strokes can lead her on to an artistic journey. Development and change are always things she strives towards.
