Carol Ann James – Painter and card maker
Since retiring from her teaching post as Art Co-ordinator, Carol James has been able to devote more of her time to her life-long love of all things creative.
She works in a variety of media – pencil, ink charcoal, watercolour, gouache, pastel and acrylic. Recently, she has embraced the technique of silk painting which she finds extremely relaxing. Her inspiration comes from the beautiful scenery of Derbyshire, her love of flowers and visits all over the world.
Carol has lived for 20 years in the High Peak. She introduced local school children to the ancient tradition of Well Dressing.
