Arwyn Ralph Quick - Painter
Arwyn trained as a teacher and taught in a Junior School for 35 years, specialising in Art. Following early retirement due to ill health, he now paints professionally.
Arwyn has a passion for colour, form and spaciousness evoked by sky and countryside, 
particularly in and around the Derbyshire Peak.
Never a prisoner of technique, he uses colour to reinforce the immediacy of those first impressions, and to emphasise the spatial awareness and the sense of place felt by the artist.
By accentuating the forms and colour of nature – particularly elements caught in the play of light - he seeks to recreate the scene with a characteristic sense of depth.
Arwyn exhibits regularly in Derbyshire, Nottingham and beyond.
